Additional details...

Ceremony Location - The ceremony location will be set up with antique church pews and a signing table by the rustic hut at Gold Creek Station, unless the weather causes the ceremony/reception to be relocated inside the homestead.

Celebrant - Your celebrant from Canberra Small Weddings will make arrangements with you to sign a notice of intent to marry (must be completed more than one month prior to the wedding) and work with you to prepare a simple but sweet ceremony which can include personal vows. On the day they will help direct guests, deliver your personalised ceremony and then take care of the registration of your marriage.

Photographer - Your photographer from Canberra Small Weddings will capture your wedding day for an hour, starting from the arrival of your guests, then the ceremony, family photos, a mini photoshoot of the two of you, and finally cutting the cake and enjoying the company of your guests. They will then expertly edit and deliver your photos to via an online gallery with high res downloads.

Flowers - The florist will prepare a simple but beautiful bouquet and matching buttonhole. Choose from native, pastel or colourful, styles/palettes. Additional bouquets/buttonholes are available for purchase for wedding party members if you wish.

Reception Location - After the ceremony/formal photos, your guests will be encouraged to relax and enjoy themselves in the undercover outdoor bar, where they will be treated to a premium grazing station, drinks served by the Gold Creek Station team, tunes by the acoustic musician, and a photo booth until you join them after your mini photoshoot, where you will start the party by cutting the cake.

Grazing Station - Craig from the Gold Creek station will ensure your guests are appropriately catered for with a Premium Grazing station. Included in the price is enough food to feed 20 guests, which can be expanded at an additional cost of $23 per person. The grazing station can be modified in parts to cater for dietary restrictions.

Package includes: Cheese, cured meats, dips, sliced fruits and vegetables (grapes, strawberries, carrot, cucumber, capsicum, pear, kiwi, sugar snap peas), olives, breads and crackers.

Music - An acoustic musician will play while your guests arrive, during the ceremony, and then during your mini reception. You can request specific songs for key moments (e.g. wedding party entrance, certificate signing, walkout) from a song list.

Bar tab or cash bar options - The bar at Gold Creek Station is fully stocked and you can either make an arrangement for a bar tab, or your guests can purchase from the bar directly. Water, tea, coffee, glassware and serving ware all included too.

Cake - Included is a single tier wedding cake with semi naked icing with basic decorations e.g. flowers (or you can provide your own cake topper the day before). Choose between Vanilla, Chocolate, Caramel and Red Velvet flavours.

Photo booth - Loop Booth will provide their latest photobooth which captures photos, stop-motion gifs and hilarious boomerangs and then sends them directly to your guest’s phone/email. They are also uploaded to a customised, live online gallery for viewing/download by all guests after the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a pop-up wedding?
A pop-up wedding is a concept where we marry multiple couples on the same date in a short but lovely mini wedding experience. A timeslot of 2hrs is allocated to each couple.

How many guests can I have?
The base package of $4,790 caters for 20 people, which can be expanded to a maximum of 40 for an additional $23 per person (this covers the extra catering costs).

Do you require a booking fee?
To secure your date a non refundable booking fee of $1,000 is payable. Bookings are not secured until this payment is made. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to the day. This can be paid by credit/debit card or direct deposit.

What’s the COVID-19 cancellation policy?
In the event that government restrictions require that guest numbers must be less than 40 we would need to cancel the pop-up experience and a full refund will be provided. A refund will also also be provided in the event that travel between NSW and ACT is not permitted for the purpose of attending a wedding (no other border closures will trigger a refund event).

What if it rains?
Should inclement weather conditions arise, the ceremony and reception will be moved indoors to the beautifully rustic, dry & warm shearing shed.

Can I extend the time slot?
Unfortunately this is not possible, but you are welcome to invite your guests to kick on somewhere else, e.g. the local pub, back to your place, etc.

Can I bring my dog?
Gold Creek Station allows only the couple being married to bring their dog, for the ceremony only. If you are considering professional pet minders we recommend Guest of Honour Pet Chaperones.

Can I book other vendors?
No other vendors are permitted onsite at Gold Creek Station without prior agreement. This avoids any surprises on the day and ensures everyones roles and responsibilities are clearly defined. If you are considering additional or alternative vendors, please contact us to discuss.
